An irremovable marking (engraved, non-removable printing, molding and etc.) which shows Country or Territory of Origin is required to be affixed to all commodities, such as Made in "Country or Territory Name", Product of "Country or Territory Name" or Made by "Manufacturer, Address, Country or Territory Name".
Country or Territory of Origin marking should be shown at outside of products' packaging and the actual products. Stamping, sticker labeling or tagging is acceptable given if the commodity is delicate.
Penalty may be imposed by Korean Customs Service (KCS) should the requirement not be fulfilled.
It is not required for all, however shipments can be held by local authority in United Arab Emirates after screening due to lack of MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) or NON DG (Dangerous Goods) declaration letter from the shipper resulting to misconnections and impacting end-to-end service.
It would be advisable for all shipments originating, transiting and terminating for UAE to have MSDS or NON DG declaration from shipper enclosed in the shipment and copies to be uploaded in IDIS.
In order to enjoy preferential treatment under Korea-Canada FTA, a copy for Certificate of Origin (COO) is required for shipment with value more than US$ 1,000. For shipments with value below the threshold, shipper will only need to declare Country or Territory of origin and HS code on the invoice.

UPS will fax the consignee the copies of the waybill, invoice, and 95 EK Form. The consignee will need to fax the waybill, invoice, and Import Declaration to the Military Customs office to get SOFA stamps. For shipments to the U.S. Army, the 95 EK Form (Import Declaration Certification USFK, ROK-US SOFA) is required and must be signed by a U.S. Customs officer at the SOFA division located in South Korea. UPS will pick up the paperwork once it is completed. Duty and taxes are applied if original SOFA documents are not provided.
An original serial number or manufacturer number and a repair detail are required because the whole price of the shipment is exempted from duty. Duty will be based on the repair cost and round-trip freight charge.
