Import Restrictions

Senders should determine import restrictions from the country's authorities before posting:

All live animals, as well as meat and meat products require a phytosanitary certificate for importation.

Fruit and nuts, also require a phytosanitary certificate.

In addition, an import permit is required for many goods mailed to Gabon. Before posting any item, senders should confirm that the addressee has any necessary permit.Phytosanitary Certificates are required for farm produce (including meat and poultry). Import permits are required for hazardous products such as; weapons, explosives, and chemical products.

Imported goods whose FOB value is higher than CFA 500,000 is required to have an import license issued by the Foreign Trade Directorate.
