Import Restrictions
Senders should determine import restrictions from the country's authorities before posting:

rice
powedered sugar
refined sugar
animal and vegetable oils
soap and detergents of all kind
Prohibited Items
In addition to items considered non-mailable matter, the following are prohibited:
animal and animal products
any item which is harmful to Mongolia's politics, economy, culture/morals
arms and ammunition
antiques, items of historical value
bio products
crustaceans
coins
construction materials
drugs, non-prescription / prescription
documents relating to state or military
liquor
matches
play money
plants, plant products and seeds
pulp of wood
precious stones and metals
samples
securities
swatches
travellers cheques
used shoes, clothes or underwear
vegetable saps
vegetables.

Any additional required documentation is the same as for Russia.
Small items sent to the address of a private person are admitted freely without collection of duty if:
1. The value of items imported from other countries does not exceed 120 US dollars.

Postal Items:
The following goods shall be declared through declaration for goods crossing the customs border:
Goods of a value of 1 million MNT sent to an individual from overseas
Goods of a value over 100.000 MNT sent to company from overseas
Certain goods such as: scientific and technical innovation, territorial model shape, cartography and other materials, various samples and specimens.
Customs shall clear postal items under expedited clearance procedures. Customs clearance fees shall not be levied upon postal items sent from overseas.
